Snap Foundation, a UK-based charity dedicated to empowering young individuals through photography and film, is embarking on a transformative journey to Uganda's Kidepo Valley National Park. This initiative aims to equip teenagers in this remote region with storytelling skills, enabling them to articulate their experiences, culture, and aspirations through the lens of a camera.
Founded by photographers Graham Dodridge and Remy Whiting, Snap Foundation has a history of delivering educational projects in challenging environments, from South African townships to inner-city London estates. By providing young people with the tools and guidance to tell their stories, the foundation fosters creativity, self-expression, and confidence.

In Kidepo Valley National Park, the foundation's workshops will introduce participants to the fundamentals of photography and storytelling. Through hands-on training and mentorship, these teenagers will learn to capture and share their unique perspectives, shedding light on their daily lives and the rich cultural heritage of northeastern Uganda. This endeavour not only enhances their artistic skills but also empowers them to communicate their narratives to a broader audience, potentially opening doors to future opportunities in the creative arts.
By bringing this initiative to Kidepo Valley, Snap Foundation continues its mission to give young people in tough environments the ability to tell their stories, reinforcing the belief that everyone has a story worth sharing.
