What is Snap foundation?
A ‘picture can speak a thousand words’ when words can seem elusive or inadequate.
In the townships of South Africa Snap delivers educational photographic projects to people in challenged environments. This gives everyone the ability to express themselves through images of the world they are experiencing, sometimes in the most difficult circumstances. We bring photographic and moving image students and professionals from around the world to teach the children of the townships how to tell their stories.
To give everyone a voice through photography and film
Enabling an environment where the image making industry can inspire and educate people in challenged situations to express themselves creatively through photography and film!
Why this media?
We use photography and film to inspire. We reach out to volunteer photographers, film makers and animators; whether students, professionals or enthusiasts, to leverage their knowledge and skills to produce our unique programmes.
Although currently working commercially in London his photography roots are in travel and adventure sports which has driven him to seek out interesting and rewarding new projects around the world. Building a unique photography programme for children in deprived areas has enabled to Remy to see not only the excitement but also the true potential of these children to be future photographers. It is now his mission, along with Graham and the Snap team, to spread this wide and far across the world.Get in TOUCH
